EMCOR Group Safety Excellence Award
2020 is the second year in a row that Hyre has earned the EMCOR Group Safety Excellence Award, thanks to their continued dedication to innovative safety initiatives, training, and technology.
In 2019, Hyre made a major investment in a new, state-of-the-art training center, and, in 2020, they were able to capitalize on that investment, leveraging the center to its fullest extent even in the midst of the COVID-19 health crisis.
The pandemic placed incredible pressure on the entire industry to recoup financial losses, and, far too often, organizations ended up cutting employee trainings as these are too often viewed as a sink of both wages and “lost” production.
Hyre, however, resisted that pressure, living up to their commitment from the year before to create one of the finest trained, most productive, and safest workforces in the industry.
Hyre also utilizes the latest in digital record-keeping technology. All of their pre-task planning and safety inspection documents are electronic, helping improve recordkeeping, increase responses, and streamline the process as a whole. Data on ongoing trainings, participation in toolbox talks, and employee submitted safety improvements are also monitored. This helps Hyre track engagement with their program and identify employees who champion safety culture throughout the organization.
Along with their internal program, Hyre consistently takes advantage of the many safety resources provided by EMCOR Group. They are one of the most frequent users of EMCOR’s Learning Center and the ACTS platform. Via ACTS, their employees—in particular new hires—have access to thorough craft-specific training in a number of fields.
Hyre has proven themselves to be a true leader in workplace safety, by not only investing in safety, but also by following through on that investment. Bottom of Form
